Challenge

A large regional bank is expanding to a national footprint. It needs a technology advisor and network integrator to design and manage a new backbone network. The bank believes that its ability to move information quickly and securely to bank staff in disparate locations is a key competitive advantage. This business driver becomes a core component of the bank's ambitious IT strategy. The core of this nationwide backbone network will initially support 180 bank branches and 400 ATMs in 5 states. The network will streamline data gathering and dissemination, and will support an integrated view of products across all channels. The network itself will carry all present and future traffic, including transactions, ATM, IP voice, Intranet and other applications.

Solution
